"The Friends of Civil War Paulding County, Inc."

Because of the interest of the citizens of Georgia, and in particular, residents of Paulding County, a permanent committee of citizens interested in the preservation of Paulding County's historic sites such as Pickett's Mill Battlefield, New Hope Church, and Dallas battlefields was formed.

The Friends of Civil War Paulding County, Inc. is working with the Georgia Department of Natural Resource, local governments, and those groups and individuals who are concerned and desire to save our heritage. We will assist Pickett's Mill Historic Site and other historic sites as follows:

  1. Assist with/initiate programs/create memorials to all the soldiers who fought at these historic sites.
  2. Raise/expand funds to enhance these sites.
  3. Recognize/encourage volunteer efforts.
  4. Encourage/welcome participation by former land owner and soldier descendants of the battles and historic sites in the County.
  5. Work as liaison with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and local governments, preservation groups and individuals.
Membership Benefits Include:

"The Friends of Civil War Paulding, Inc."

Fees are $10.00 per person. Membership follows the calendar year, January-December.
